A bus driver killed an elderly couple when he drove onto the opposite carriageway and crashed into their car.
Stephen Jones crashed into an oncoming Vauxhall Corsa being driven by Ian and Helen McKay in Bathgate, West Lothian, in January last year.
Mr and Mrs McKay, aged 78 and 79, from Bathgate, in West Lothian, suffered multiple injuries in the resulting collision and were pronounced dead at the scene.
Four passengers who were travelling on the bus Jones was driving from Linlithgow to Livingston were also injured.
The High Court in Edinburgh heard Jones repeatedly drove the service bus onto the opposing carriageway before the crash on the B792, near Torphichen.
Lord Doherty deferred sentence on Jones, who was remanded in custody, until next month for the preparation of a background report.
