A body has been pulled from the Forth and Clyde Canal.

Police Scotland and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were called to the waterway near Symington Drive in Falkirk on Friday afternoon after the corpse was discovered.

Emergency personnel remain at the scene.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police were called at around 2.40pm on Friday, July 2, 2021 and are currently in attendance at the Forth and Clyde Canal in Falkirk following the discovery of a body within the water.

“Emergency services remain at the scene.”
