A man has appeared in court charged with sexually assaulting a child after an 11-year-old girl was reported missing.
Andrew Miller, from the Scottish Borders, faces two charges under the Sexual Offences Scotland Act alongside claims he attempted to defeat the ends of justice.
The 53-year-old, also known as Amy, previously appeared at Selkirk Sheriff Court facing charges of threatening and abusive behaviour, and abduction.
He returned to the dock on Friday over a breach of sections 19, 20, 23 and 25 of the Sexual Offences Scotland Act.
Miller made no plea and was remanded in custody. A date for his next appearance is yet to be announced.
