Firefighters have tackled a serious blaze at a shop in the Highlands.

The fire began at Tarradale Game Dealers in the Wynd Hill Industrial Estate in Muir of Ord at 8am on Friday.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used hose jets to bring the fire under control by 10.45am.

One person was treated by paramedics at the scene but they are not believed to have been seriously injured.

A spokesman for Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "Crews are still at the scene at the moment carrying down damping down operations. The fire was not believed to have been started deliberately.

"Police Scotland and Scottish Ambulance Service were also at the scene. The A862 was partially closed by Police during the incident and reopened at 10.57am."

The village was put on lockdown on Wednesday after a major gas leak during construction of a new railway bridge.
