A body has been found in the search for a missing man from Falkirk who disappeared almost two months ago.

Kenneth Hope was last seen in the Castings Avenue area of the town around 3.30pm on Monday, October 30.

His white Mercedes van was discovered in Bainsford the following day, but the 52-year-old could not be located despite a police search.

Police confirmed on Wednesday that a body had been discovered in the Limekilns area of Fife.

They said there were not thought to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.

A spokesperson said: “The body of a man has been found in the Limekilns area of Fife.

“The body is yet to be formally identified but the family of missing man Kenneth Hope, 52, has been made aware.

“There are no apparent suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
