Tea products that “may contain insects” have been labelled unsafe to drink and pulled from shelves.

TK Maxx issued the recall of multiple Kintra Foods Organic Premium Leaf Teas flavours via the UK’s Food Standard Agency (FSA) over fears they may contain insects.

The FSA warned customers that certain batches of the tea products are “unsafe to consume” over fears they contain insects.

Customers have been advised to return the products to their point of sales for a full refund.

The FSA notice read: “TK Maxx and Homesense are recalling the above products. Point of sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores that are selling these products.

“These notices explain to customers why the products are being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the products. Please see the attached notice.”
