Tesco has issued an urgent recall notice for tzatziki dip over fears of salmonella contamination.
The supermarket giant, via the Food Standards Agency (FSA), said on Tuesday the presence of salmonella was found in its own brand dip during routine testing.
The affected products are dated best before Sunday, November 24, 2024 in the 200g pack size.
Symptoms caused by salmonella include fever, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps.
A Tesco notice read: “If you have bought the above product, do not eat it.
“Instead, return it to any Tesco store for a full refund.
“For more information contact Tesco Customer Services on 0800 505 555.“
The retailer said no other Tesco products were affected.
