Shocking new footage shows chaos in Gaza hospital during deadly Israeli bombing

28 people were killed and dozens injured when the European Gaza Hospital in Khan Yunis was bombed on Tuesday

Footage released by the World Health Organisation shows the chaos and terror of an Israeli bombing of a Gaza hospital.

Shocking footage released by the World Health Organisation (WHO) has shown the terrifying aftermath of an Israeli airstrike on a hospital in Gaza.

28 people were killed and dozens more were injured in the attack on the European Gaza Hospital in Khan Younis on Tuesday, according to the Hamas-run civil defence agency.

The video shows a woman being interviewed on camera, when explosions are suddenly heard in the background.

The footage then cut to dozens of women and children running in panic through the hospital wards.

Amid the chaos, one little boy can be seen sitting cross-legged on the floor with his fingers in his ears, whilst explosions are heard off-camera.

As the explosions continue, women and children can be seen screaming and cowering in the corner, whilst women attempt to guide some of the children to safety.

The WHO said that “284 patients and companions were gathered for a pre-coordinated medical evacuation” but that none of them were harmed in the attack.

Mohammed Hassan Bashir, father of one of the evacuation patients said: “While we were in the hospital, a large number of missiles were dropped very close to our location, causing panic and fear, especially among the children and women.

“Shrapnel and dust flew toward us, and the situation was difficult because of the rapid shelling. This led to fear among the children and women and caused panic among the patients and their companions traveling abroad.”

Israeli media reported that one target in a strike on a hospital in Khan Younis on Tuesday was Mohammed Sinwar, younger brother of the late Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, who was killed by Israeli forces last October.

The military would not comment beyond saying it had targeted a Hamas “command and control center” which it said was located beneath the European Hospital.
