Police confirmed there was a 'major incident' after several people were injured in the ​​Dachauer Straße area.

Several people have been injured after a car drove into a crowd in Munich, police said on Thursday.

Authorities didn’t immediately give a specific number of injuries or provide details about the incident, including whether the people were hit deliberately.

In a post on X, police confirmed they were attending a “major incident” in the ​​Dachauer Straße area.

The driver was “secured” at the scene and no longer poses any danger, they added.

Regional public broadcaster Bayerischer Rundfunk reported that the people who were hurt were apparently participating in a strike.

It comes ahead of a security conference in Munich on Friday which is due to be attended by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and US Vice President JD Vance.
