The Prince and Princess of Wales have shared a photograph taken while cycling in Norfolk to mark their 12th wedding anniversary.

The photograph, which was taken last year, shows Prince William and wife Catherine smiling at the camera during a bike ride.

Taken by royal photographer Matt Porteous, the image was shared on the Prince and Princess of Wales’ social media accounts on Saturday, accompanied by a simple caption of ‘12 years’ followed by a heart emoji.

The royal couple married at Westminster Abbey on April 29, 2011 following an eight-year relationship.

The pair met during their studies at St Andrews University in Fife.

Nearly 25 million people in the UK tuned in to watch the live televised ceremony, with the worldwide TV audience estimated to be two billion.
