Emergency services have attended a “serious medical incident” involving a child at a holiday resort in Wiltshire on Christmas Eve morning.

Wiltshire Police said officers had been called to the Center Parcs complex at Longleat in support of the South Western Ambulance Service on December 24 shortly after 11am.

A Wiltshire Police spokesman said: “We’re in attendance at Longleat Center Parcs near Warminster in support of South Western Ambulance Service following reports of a serious medical incident involving a child shortly after 11am today.

“We will provide a further update when it’s appropriate to do so.”

The incident reportedly occurred at a swimming pool in the resort.

Center Parcs has been contacted for comment.
