A man has been arrested near Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s home, on suspicion of a public order offence and possession of an offensive weapon.
Police say the arrest follows reports of a man behaving in an intimidating manner.
In a statement issued on Thursday, Norfolk police said: “Officers were called to Wolferton shortly after 7.30pm yesterday (Wednesday 6 May 2026) following a report a man was behaving in an intimidating manner in the village.
“Officers attended, and the man was arrested on suspicion of a public order offence and possession of an offensive weapon.
“He was taken to King’s Lynn Police Investigation Centre for questioning and remains in custody.”
Earlier, the Telegraph reported that Mountbatten-Windsor had been threatened by a balaclava-clad man while walking his dogs.
The man had been sitting in a car near the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk, waiting for Andrew, the newspaper said.
