GB News has suspended Dan Wootton after comments made on his programme by Laurence Fox.
It comes after Fox was suspended on Wednesday morning.
A spokesperson for GB News said: “GB News has suspended Dan Wootton following comments made on his programme by Laurence Fox last night.
“This follows our decision earlier today to formally suspend Mr Fox.
“We are conducting a full investigation”.
During an appearance on Dan Wootton Tonight, Fox made remarks about Ava Evans, the political correspondent for online news site Joe.
Fox referred to Ms Evans as a “little woman” saying, “We don’t need these sort of feminist 4.0,” who he said are “pathetic and embarrassing”.
Fox added: “Who would want to s**g that?”
The clip from the show quickly gained traction on social media with Ms Evans telling her over 100,000 followers on X his comments made her feel “physically sick”.
Wootton took to X, formerly known as Twitter, after the incident to apologise to Ms Evans.
“I think you’re brilliant,” he said.
“Earlier tonight I was attempting to find your tweets to read back from my iPad and couldn’t locate them.
“I apologise for what was said during the course of my show and should have done this immediately on air.
“This is not what our channel is about,” he wrote.
Wootton later took to the site to “reiterate” his apologies to Ms Evans, saying he was “shocked and surprised in the moment”.
Fox later shared personal messages between himself and Dan Wootton in which a message from Wootton reads, “you can imagine them freaking out in the gallery!”
