A bullied teenager has been escorted to her school prom by almost 300 bikers.
Felicity Warburton, 15, was made to feel “worthless” by her tormentors from age seven and had been terrified about the event.
But she was stunned when bikers showed up in their droves on Monday night, revving their engines to applause from Felicity’s classmates and teachers.
Her mum, Kathryn Warburton, put out an appeal on Facebook last month asking for WAC Motorcycle Club to attend the prom at the Worcester Warriors Stadium to support the teen.
She wrote: “Felicity has been looking forward to her prom as she feels that this will be the point where she can show them (the bullies) that they can’t hurt her anymore.
“They have bullied her so much she has even contemplated suicide in the past year, so I really want her prom to be everything she wants and needs it to be.”
Following the appeal, almost 300 bikers from the club and others from around the UK turned up to escort Felicity to her prom.
Dad Rich Morris, 45, from Droitwich,Worcester, said: “It was amazing. We were hoping for maybe ten or so bikers to come but there were hundreds.
“They kept coming batch by batch until there were so many bikers you couldn’t even see Felicity in the middle of them all.
“They were even given an escort by a group of ex-police officers and prison guards.
“We were blown away.
“Felicity loved every minute and it was just incredible to see the support from all the bikers.”
Felicity, who has dyslexia and Asperger’s Syndrome, suffered bullying from her tormentors who verbally abused her on a daily basis since she was at primary school.
Rich, who runs a digital photography business, added: “Felicity has had her challenges but the bullies seem to think it’s ok to pick on her.
“She was abused every day and it crushed her but we felt that after Monday night we could see our lovely, bubbly Felicity really enjoying herself.
“Proud of her doesn’t even touch it, she’s an amazing girl and she hasn’t deserved any of this, so to see her light up like a Christmas tree was absolutely fantastic.
“When she sat on that trike and I looked at her, it was like time stood still and I just thought ‘we’ve got our daughter back’.
“When you’ve got someone crunching you down time and time again, you don’t see any good in yourself.
“To see that smile break out on her face was very overwhelming.
“The confidence it brought out in Felicity was amazing. Over the last year she’s had constant bullying, the school have done what they can but they can’t do everything.”
The sheer number of bikers who turned up meant it took the teen 30 minutes to travel the five miles from her home to the venue.
Dawn Thomas, of the WAC Motorcycle Club, said: “We were initially contacted by Felicity’s mum Kathryn to see if we would provide a few of us on bikes to escort her to her prom.
“There were a few other groups involved and we ended up with over 200 bikes escorting Felicity on the ride of her life.”
