Adobe StockA British man has died after he became “tangled up in power lines” while paragliding in north-east Spain, according to local media.
The regional government confirmed that three fire brigades were called to an accident involving a 63-year-old man in Palau de Noguera, a small village in Catalonia’s Lleida province, at around 1.20pm on Wednesday.
The individual died after being provided with treatment by two emergency medical service crews, according to Spanish newspaper Sur.
The UK Foreign Office said: “We are supporting the family of a British man who has died in Spain.”
The identity of the man has not been revealed by authorities.
