High street giant Boots has issued an urgent recall notice on paracetamol tablets due to a “packaging error”.
It comes after its 500mg packs of the pain relief were incorrectly labelled as Boots Aspirin 300mg dispersible tablets in the foiled blister insert.
The 16-tablet packs with an expiry date of December 2029 are among the products affected, with a batch number of 241005 which can be found on the bottom of the box.
Boots said the supplier is conducting a full investigation, including on the tablet.
The company is urging people not to take the product and return it to a Boots store for a full refund.
A statement read: “If you have bought the Boots paracetamol 500mg tablets 16s item code 81-99-922 as detailed above, please return the product to your local Boots store for a full refund with or without a receipt.
“For more information please contact Boots customer care team on 0800 915 0004.”
