Charles has taken the dramatic decision to formally strip his brother of his Prince and Duke of York titles and HRH style, as Royal Editor Chris Ship reports
Andrew will not move from his Windsor home to Sandringham until after Christmas, it has been revealed.
Andrew, who denies the claims, agreed to vacate his 30-room Windsor home. But the process of giving up the property is expected to take time.
It is also understood the King will make private financial provisions for his brother.
The King stripped his younger brother of his Prince and Duke of York titles and required him to leave his Windsor mansion, it was announced on Thursday.
It followed continued public outrage over his ties to convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein and related sexual assault allegations. There were mounting calls for him to give up Royal Lodge after it emerged he had been paying a “peppercorn” rent.
All mention of Andrew has been erased from the official royal family website after the King stripped him of all his titles and required him to leave his Windsor mansion.

On the royal family’s website, clicking on the former prince’s page now brings up the message: “The requested page could not be found.”
Searching his name also returns no results, with the site instead suggesting users visit the pages for the King or the Duke of Edinburgh.
Sandringham in Norfolk is the venue for the traditional Christmas gathering for members of the royal family and the delay will mean any potential encounter with Andrew over the festive period is avoided.
Sarah Ferguson, who lived with her ex-husband Andrew at Royal Lodge, will not be rehoused by the King and is expected to find a new home.
Sources have suggested that Prince William wanted his uncle to vacate Royal Lodge by Bonfire Night, November 5, as the Prince of Wales prepares to move his family into their new home, Forest Lodge, located nearby.
After that dramatic statement confirming Prince Andrew will no longer be a Prince, the panel answers all your questions on what happens now, for him and his family.
Royal Editor Chris Ship, Royal Expert Lizzie Robinson, and guest Dr Ranj join Charlene White to analyse the statement and the reaction.
Following the King’s decision to strip his brother of his titles, Andrew Mountbatten Windsor is said to be “sanguine” about recent events, according to The Telegraph.
On Friday, Andrew Mountbatten Windsor’s name was removed from the official roll of the peerage, marking a major step in the formal process of stripping him of his titles.
Dukes, including the Duke of York, are listed on the roll of the peerage maintained by the Crown Office, for which the Lord Chancellor, currently David Lammy, is responsible.
Lammy, who also serves as Justice Secretary, was due to receive royal warrants from the King authorising the removal of Andrew’s Duke of York title, his HRH style and his status as a prince. The same action applies to his subsidiary titles.
It remains unclear when the formal removal took place.
Andrew remains eighth in line to the throne, though any realistic prospect of him becoming monarch is considered virtually impossible, with public and political pressure almost certain to intervene.
Some have called for new legislation to prevent even the remotest chance of his accession, but Downing Street said there are currently no plans to change the law or make it easier to strip peerages or remove Andrew from the line of succession.
Andrew had tainted the reputation of the royal family with his association with Epstein and, for many years, was dogged by allegations he sexually abused Ms Giuffre, who took her own life in April, after she was trafficked by the financier.

He came under renewed pressure on October 21 following the release of Virginia Giuffre’s posthumous memoir, in which she alleges that Andrew believed it was “his birthright” to have sex with her, describing him as “friendly enough, but still entitled.”
She also recounts an encounter on Jeffrey Epstein’s private island, writing: “it was not just the two of us this time; it was an orgy” in which “Epstein, Andy, and approximately eight other young girls and I had sex together.”
There has also been a series of damaging newspaper allegations, including that Andrew tried to get the Metropolitan Police to dig up dirt for a smear campaign against Ms Giuffre.
The force said previously it is looking into the allegations after the Mail on Sunday claimed Andrew passed Ms Giuffre’s date of birth and social security number to his taxpayer-funded bodyguard in 2011 and asked him to investigate.
Andrew has strenuously denied all allegations.
According to The Telegraph, Queen Camilla was appalled by Andrew’s association with Epstein and believed the ongoing scandal was getting in the way of her public duties.
The Queen, who has long supported survivors of sexual violence and domestic abuse, recently revealed in a new book that she once fought off a man who groped her on a train as a teenager.
A Buckingham Palace statement on Thursday said: “Their Majesties wish to make clear that their thoughts and utmost sympathies have been, and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse.”
In a statement on Thursday evening, Ms Giuffre’s family said she had “never stopped fighting for accountability”.
It said: “Today, an ordinary American girl from an ordinary American family brought down a British prince with her truth and extraordinary courage.
“Virginia Roberts Giuffre, our sister, a child when she was sexually assaulted by Andrew, never stopped fighting for accountability for what had happened to her and countless other survivors like her.
“Today, she declares a victory. We, her family, along with her survivor sisters, continue Virginia’s battle and will not rest until the same accountability applies to all of her abusers and abetters, connected to Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.”
It is understood that the King’s unprecedented decision on Thursday was made in light of his brother’s serious lapses in judgment, with the full support of the royal family, including Prince William, and without objection from Andrew.
William was reportedly placed in an uncomfortable position when Andrew attempted to speak to him at the Duchess of Kent’s recent funeral, a moment the prince appeared to barely acknowledge him
