Saturday’s estimated £11.6m Lotto jackpot “must be won” after no ticket-holder managed to bag Wednesday’s top prize.

If no player manages to secure the top prize again on Saturday, the £11.6m will be shared out amongst the other prize tiers.

Andy Carter, senior winners’ adviser at The National Lottery, said: “It promises to be an exciting night for Lotto players on Saturday with a whopping £11.6m ‘Must Be Won’ jackpot up for grabs.

“In a ‘Must Be Won’ draw, if the jackpot isn’t won, the prize amount is shared out amongst the other prize tiers, meaning lots of players could win lots more.”

No player matched all six numbers nor did any ticket-holder match five numbers and the bonus ball to win £1 million.

A total of 44 players scooped £1,750 each after matching five of the six numbers.

The winning Lotto numbers were 12, 13, 19, 39, 42, 59 – and the bonus number was 10.

Set of balls four and draw machine Merlin were used.

No players matched all five numbers to win Lotto HotPicks, which uses the same numbers as the Lotto draw, however two lucky ticket-holders managed to match four numbers to win £13,000.

There were no winners of Thunderball, as no player matched five numbers and the Thunderball to win £500,000.

Three players managed to match five numbers to win £5,000.
