A youth football coach has appeared in court charged with assault after a Rangers and Celtic Scottish Cup match.
Marc Spence, 47, had been held by police on the pitch moments after the final whistle of the Ibrox quarter-final clash on March 8.
Celtic went on to complete a league and cup double after beating Rangers on penalties.
A number of fans invaded the pitch before violence broke out, resulting in police officers, supporters, members of the coaching staff, and players being assaulted.
Spence faced allegations of assault and breach of the peace following a private hearing at Glasgow Sheriff Court.
No further details of the alleged crimes have been shared so far.
Spence, of Douglas, Lanarkshire, made no plea and was granted bail.
No further date has been made for his next appearance.
Spence had coached youngsters prior to the alleged incidents at Ibrox.
Glenbuck & Douglas Valley Football Academy, based in South Lanarkshire, shared a statement on social media at the time confirming he had left the club.
It read: “After Sunday’s incident, the coach is no longer part of the academy. We will not be commenting any further on this.”
