Young carollers spread Christmas cheer to local community

Students at a primary school in Renfrewshire have been spreading joy this festive season by singing Christmas carols.

The young singers, all pupils at Williamsburgh Primary School, filled the school building with festive songs during a concert earlier this month.

Lead by teacher Sarah Neilston, the school in Paisley hosts three singing groups divided by ages.

The young singers kicked off the festive period with a Christmas sing-along on December 8, featuring some of the best-known festive hits.

STV News spoke to the young singers to learn what Christmas is all about, as well as to hear their sweet rendition of Long Time Ago in Bethlehem.
