Ticket prices for WWE’s first premium live event in history in Scotland have been revealed as tens of thousands queued to get their hands on one.
The US-based sports entertainment company will bring Friday Night SmackDown and Clash at the Castle to Glasgow’s OVO Hydro on Friday, June 14 and Saturday, June 15.
The event will be the first of its kind in Scotland and follows WWE Monday Night Raw which emanated live from the Hydro in 2016.
Tickets for Clash at the Castle went on a pre-sale going for fans on Wednesday morning with many stunned at the price.
Prices range from the lowest combination package of £175 per person to ringside seats costing over £2,900 per person.
Over 10,000 people joined the Ticketmaster queue after 10am with the Hydro’s official capacity being 14,300.
A general sale for combination tickets will take place on Friday at 10am.
Scottish WWE superstars including Drew McIntyre – the first world champion from the UK in the company’s history – are expected to appear at the show.
WWE president Nick Khan said: “We are excited to bring both Friday Night SmackDown and Clash At The Castle: Scotland to our amazing fans in Scotland at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow this June.
“The world will see that this is one of the UK’s best venues and Scottish crowds are some of the loudest, craziest and most passionate on the planet.”
