An investigation has been launched after a factory worker died at a manufacturing facility in Cumbernauld on Tuesday.
The incident occurred at the Pitreavie Packaging Manufacturing facility just after midnight and resulted in the death of a male employee.

The company has confirmed that an investigation to establish the full circumstances is ongoing.
The nature of the incident is not known.
A Pitreavie Group spokesperson said: “It is with deep regret that we confirm that there was a fatal incident at the Pitreavie Packaging Manufacturing facility in Cumbernauld on Tuesday, October 7.
“Our thoughts are with the loved ones of our colleague at this very sad time. There is a full investigation under way into the circumstances of the incident.”
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 12.19am to attend an incident on Grayshill Road, Cumbernauld.
“We dispatched an ambulance, a trauma team, and two special operation response teams (SORT) to the scene.”
Police Scotland and the HSE are investigating the incident.
A spokesperson from the force said: “Around 12.20am on Tuesday, 7 October, we received a report of a man injured at a premises in the Grayshill Road area of Cumbernauld.
“Emergency services attended and a 57-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. His family are aware.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and the Health and Safety Executive has been informed.”
A HSE spokesperson added: “We are investigating this incident alongside Police Scotland.”
