A pedestrian who died three weeks after being struck by a car in Glasgow has been named.

Jean Wilson was taken to hospital after being struck down by a white Seat Leon in the Binnie Place area of the city at around 11.50am on Saturday, December 2.

She was pronounced dead at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital on Thursday, December 21.

Following enquiries, road policing officers are appealing for information to establish the full circumstances of the crash.

Sergeant Chris Hoggans said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the woman who died as a result of this crash.

“Our enquiries are ongoing and I would ask anyone who witnessed the crash or was in the area around this time and has any information to contact us.

“I would also appeal to anyone who may have dash cam footage which could assist to get in touch.”
