A woman in Glasgow has received a police warning after being stopped doing the school run on an electric scooter.
Officers caught the woman carrying a passenger in the Skerry Street area of Milton on Monday morning.
E-scooters are widely sold across the UK and are a regular site on city streets but are currently only legal to use on private land.
The UK Government had previously planned to update laws covering e-scooters but no update was given in the latest policy announcement this month.
Police confirmed the e-scooter rider in Glasgow was given safety advice and reported.
A spokesperson for Road Police Scotland posted on X: “No license. No insurance.
“Carrying a a passenger whilst doing the school run. Female rider reported.
“Suitable safety advice provided in Skerry Street.”
