SNS GroupA woman is to stand trial next year, accused of the murder of her partner.
Jade Bell allegedly killed Mark Blackwood, 42, at a property in Glenmuir Place, Ayr, on July 5, 2025.
Prosecutors claim the 41-year-old repeatedly stabbed and struck him with a knife or knives.
A charge of attempting to defeat the ends of justice states that Bell pretended to the police that an “unknown intruder” was the culprit.
Bell is separately accused of injuring Mr Blackwood in an earlier blade attack at the same address sometime between April 1, 2025 and June 28, 2025.
She further allegedly punched and slapped him, as well as a claim that Bell struck another person, then her partner, at a property in the town’s Princess Court on September 24, 2021, by striking him with a knife.
The case called for a hearing at the High Court in Glasgow.
Lawyers for Bell pled not guilty on her behalf.
A trial was fixed, and Lady Hood set a date of February 2027. The case may last around ten days.
A further hearing will take place before then later this year.
