A woman has been taken to hospital after a three-vehicle crash which saw one car collide into an office building in Glasgow.
Police Scotland confirmed a 54-year-old female driver was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital after a car crashed into the front of a building in the Finnieston area.
Crews were called to Finnieston Street at around 1pm on Friday where an ambulance and paramedic response unit were dispatched to the scene.
Police said three vehicles were involved in the crash with the injured driver issued with a fixed penalty notice in connection with road traffic offences.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1pm on Friday, September 13, 2024 we were called to a three vehicle crash on Finnieston Street in Glasgow.
“One of the vehicles collided with a building.
“The 54-year-old female driver of the vehicle was taken to hospital for treatment.
“She has also been issued with a fixed penalty notice in connection with road traffic offences.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 1.28pm to attend an incident on Finnieston Street, Glasgow.
“An ambulance and paramedic response unit were dispatched to the scene and one patient was transported to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.”
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 1.08pm on Friday, September 13 to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car that collided with another vehicle and building on Finnieston Street, Glasgow.
“Operations Control immediately mobilised two fire appliances to the scene to assist emergency service partners.
“One casualty was handed into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service.
“Crews left the scene after ensuring the area was made safe.”
