A woman has been taken to hospital after being struck by a bus near Glasgow Royal Infirmary.

Police Scotland confirmed that Castle Street was closed at around 3.41pm on Monday after a pedestrian was hit by a bus.

Officers confirmed that a 28-year-old woman has been taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

The road was closed from Glebe Street to Warnock Street in both directions for over two hours before it was reopened shortly before 6pm.

Police Scotland said that the M8 Junction 15 eastbound slip road was also impacted.
