A woman has been seriously injured after being knocked down by a vehicle in Glasgow.
Emergency services were alerted to the incident in Peat Road, close to Silverburn Shopping Centre, on Wednesday evening.
The 52-year-old woman was taken to the city’s Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
The driver of the vehicle was uninjured.
Police said enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
A force spokesman said: “We were made aware around 7.20pm on Wednesday, March 10, of a 52-year-old woman found injured on Peat Road in Glasgow having been struck by a vehicle.
“She has been taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment to serious injuries and enquiries are ongoing.
“The driver of the vehicle was uninjured.”
