A woman has been rushed to hospital after being assaulted by two people who robbed her in Larkhall.

The victim was approached by a man and woman on Craigbank Road, near to the junction with Ness Gardens, around 3pm on Tuesday.

The 32-year-old had her mobile phone stolen by the pair before they made off on foot.

The woman was rushed to hospital for treatment to injuries.

Police are now appealing to the public for witnesses.

Detective constable Graeme Easton said: “Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing and I would urge anyone who may have seen or heard any disturbance in the area around that time to get in touch.

“We would also be keen to speak to anyone who may have dashcam or private CCTV footage from the area.
 
“Anyone who can help is asked to call 101, quoting reference 1984 of October 17, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
