WebsiteA woman who had sex with a schoolboy has been jailed for a year and five months.
Eve Kilgariff, 23, preyed on the 14-year-old at a flat in Glasgow between April and June 2022.
Glasgow Sheriff Court was told the pair were watching a film when Kilgariff engaged in illegal sexual activity with the child.
Prosecutor Jessica McGowan told jurors in her closing speech: “She said in a police interview that she found him to look older than she thought he was.
“She thought about and wanted to have sex with him.
“She did not recall if she had sex with him.
“The boy did not make it up – he had vivid memories that it happened.”
The teenager stated that he did not disclose to his parents after the incident.
Kilgariff was found guilty by the jury to engaging in sexual activity with an older child.
Kilgariff was remanded in custody pending background reports by Sheriff Joan Kerr.
Sheriff Joan Kerr put Kilgariff on the sex offenders register for ten years as well as imposing a jail term of 536 days.
