A woman has been taken to hospital following a disturbance at a house in Lochgelly.

Emergency services, including police and ambulance, were called to a house on Foote Street just after 4pm on Wednesday.

A 33-year-old woman was found injured at the scene and taken to hospital for treatment.

Several police cars were spotted along the street in response to a disturbance.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson added: “We received a report of a disturbance within a property in the Foote Street area of Lochgelly around 4.20pm on Wednesday, August 5.

“Officers attended and a 33-year-old woman was taken to hospital for treatment.

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances, and a police presence remains in the area.”

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 4.23pm on Wednesday to attend an incident on Foote Street in Lochgelly.

“We dispatched one ambulance to the scene and transported one female patient to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy.”
