A woman is in hospital after she was hit in a crash involving two vehicles in North Lanarkshire.
Petersburn Road in Airdrie was shut between Carlisle Road and the junction for Minch Way after the collision at around 11.05am on Friday.
The road was reopened around four hours later.
The female pedestrian was taken to Wishaw General Hospital for treatment by ambulance.
Police said enquiries were ongoing to establish the circumstances of the crash.
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 11.05am to attend an incident on Petersburn Road, Airdrie.
“Two ambulances and a trauma team were dispatched to the scene and one patient was transported to Wishaw General Hospital.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Petersburn Road in Airdrie, between Carlisle Road and the junction for Minch Way, has now reopened. The public are thanked for their patience.
“Emergency services were called to a report of a crash involving two vehicles and a female pedestrian around 11.05am on Friday, March 7, 2025. She was taken to hospital for treatment.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of the crash.”
