A woman has been taken to hospital after being struck by a car in Glasgow.
Police were called to the scene on Paisley Road West in the Southside of the city after midday on Thursday to reports of a woman being hit by a car.
She was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital to be treated for injuries.
The road is closed westbound between Bellahouston Drive and Jura Street, with First Bus confirming diversions are in place via Mosspark Boulevard and Dumbreck Road.
Police said enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 12.25pm on Thursday, April 25, 2024, police were called to a report of a woman having been struck by a car on Paisley Road West, Glasgow.
“Emergency services are in attendance and the woman has been taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.
“Paisley Road West is closed westbound between Bellahouston Drive and Jura Street and enquiries are continuing.”
