iStockA woman has been taken to hospital after she was attacked by a man wearing a face mask in Coatbridge on Sunday.
The incident occurred around 5.50pm in Drumpellier Park. A 46-year-old woman was taken to hospital for treatment following the attack.
The suspect is described as a white man, around 20 years old, of slim build, with blonde, wavy hair. He was wearing a face mask.
Detective Chief Inspector Jamie Campbell said: “Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed the assault to contact us.
“We’d also ask anyone with dash-cam footage that could assist our enquiries to come forward.”
