A woman has died after being struck by a car in East Dunbartonshire.
Emergency services were called to the collision on Speirs Road, Bearsden, around 12.15pm on Thursday.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene and her family has been informed.
The road remains closed near Albert Drive as crash scene investigators examine the area.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Around 12:15pm on Thursday, May, 28, police received a report of a woman being struck by a vehicle on Speirs Road, Bearsden.
“Emergency services attended and the woman was pronounced dead. Her family has been made aware.
“Speirs Road at Albert Drive remains closed as crash scene investigators examine the scene and enquiries are continuing.”
