A woman has died following a fire at a property in North Lanarkshire.
Emergency services were called to Laird Street, in the Coatbridge area, at around 7.45pm on Wednesday.
An 63-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her next of kin have been made aware.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) extinguished the fire and police confirmed there are not any suspicious circumstances surrounding the blaze at this time.
A joint investigation with the SFRS is ongoing.
