A woman has been charged with murder following the death of a grandmother in South Lanarkshire just days before Christmas.
Ann Coll was found with serious injuries at a property on Newfield Place, Rutherglen, at around 12.45am on Friday, December 22.
The 61-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police Scotland confirmed that a 37-year-old woman was arrested and charged in connection with the death.
On Monday, Claire Kilduff appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court charged with the murder of the 61-year-old.
She made no plea and was committed for further examination and remanded in custody until her next appearance, which is set to take place in the next eight days.
