Police ScotlandA woman has been charged with attempted murder following the death of a man in a North Lanarkshire flat.
Emergency services were called to Maxton Crescent, Wishaw, at around 2.10pm on December 5 following the death of James McMaster.
Investigating officers said after initial enquiries, they believed the 53-year-old was the victim of an assault and that investigations were continuing.
A 50-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident on Friday.
On Tuesday, Police Scotland confirmed a woman had been arrested and charged with attempted murder and assault in connection with the death.
The 47-year-old is due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
