Police ScotlandA woman has been arrested and charged following an incident at a hotel in Dalbeattie.
Emergency services were called to the Maxwell Arms Hotel on Maxwell Street just after 2pm on Monday after containers with an unknown substance were found.
The hotel was evacuated as a precaution, and there was no risk found to the public.
A 44-year-old woman was later traced by officers and charged in connection with a breach of the peace.
A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
