A woman caught buying drugs in front of police officers later claimed she did it as she had a “bad day”.
Amanda Dolan was snared purchasing heroin from a woman in Govanhill, Glasgow on November 29, 2020.
The 41-year-old was arrested after she was clocked rummaging about her bag when stopped by officers.
A small quantity of the drug was later found inside following a search.
Her lawyer told Glasgow Sheriff Court she was having a “bad day.”
On Monday, Dolan pled guilty to possession of a class A drug.
The court heard officers’ attention was drawn to Dolan who was standing outside a block of flats at 4.10pm.
Dolan was shouting at another woman who was also heard screaming: “I will give you one bag.”
Dolan was seen to enter the close of the flats and leave a short time later.
She was stopped by the officers.
Prosecutor Jenny Reid said: “She kept trying to reach in her handbag so she was handcuffed and conveyed to the police office.
“She was searched and 0.35g of diamorphine was found in her handbag.
“The value was £15.”
Her lawyer Harvie Diamond told the court: “She was just having a bad day on that day.
“She wasn’t taking drugs.
“She knows what it’s like to take drugs and doesn’t want to do it anymore.”
Sheriff Amel Elfallah fined Dolan £160.
