PA MediaA woman has been arrested amid a murder investigation into the death of a man at a flat in Ayr.
Emergency services were called to reports of a man found seriously injured at a property on Glenmuir Place at around 8.10pm on July 5.
Mark Blackwood, 42, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A murder investigation was opened by police just days after the incident.
On Thursday, officers confirmed a 40-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the death of Mr Blackwood.
Officers said enquiries into the death are ongoing.
