Woman accused of trying to murder sister by hitting her with car

A woman is to stand trial accused of attempting to murder her sister.

Jade Hutchison, 34, allegedly assaulted her sister in Glasgow’s Castlemilk on May 2 last year.

Court papers state Hutchison, of Castlemilk, slapped the woman to the face and engaged in a stand-up fight with her.

It is alleged that Hutchison got into a car and drove the vehicle at the victim at excessive speed.

Hutchison is stated to have mounted the pavement and struck the woman with the car.

The victim is then claimed to have been pinned against a fence.

The charge states that this was all to her severe injury, danger of life and attempted murder.

Hutchison denies the single allegation and will stand trial at the High Court in Glasgow in October 2027.
