A woman has appeared in court accused of murdering a man in her home and removing the evidence.

Linda Kelly, 57, allegedly killed Graham Wright, 38, at the flat in Glasgow’s Castlemilk between August 20 and September 13 this year.

Court papers state Kelly assaulted Mr Wright and caused him to be “fatally injured”.

It is claimed she then dismembered and disarticulated his body with a sharply bladed and serrated instruments.

Kelly faces a second allegation of attempting to defeat the ends of justice on the same dates.

It is stated that Kelly, having been conscious of her guilt of murder, “disposed of and secreted” Mr Wright’s remains.

This was said to have been done in various locations, which include wooded areas in Castlemilk as well as Loch Lomond.

The charge goes on to say Kelly then cleaned her flat and its common close with bleach.

It is stated that she removed, concealed and destroyed evidence of the crime of murder to avoid detection, arrest and prosecution.

Kelly made no plea at Glasgow Sheriff Court.

She was represented by her lawyer, Michael Gallen, at the private hearing.

She was remanded in custody pending further examination by Sheriff Owen Mullan.

Kelly will appear at court again within the next eight days.

A further suspect, David McColl. 50, has previously appeared at the same court, charged with Mr Wright’s murder.

He is also alleged to have dumped Mr Wright’s remains in wooded areas in Castlemilk and Loch Lomond.

McColl, of Glasgow, also faced two breaches of bail

He was remanded in custody earlier this month.

Another man, John Roarty, 54, has been accused of attempting to defeat the ends of justice in relation to the matter.
