A 77-year-old woman is in a serious condition in hospital after being struck by a car in Glasgow.
Police were called to the scene on Paisley Road West in the Southside of the city after midday on Thursday to reports of a woman being hit by a Vauxhall Corsa.
She was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where she has been left in a serious but stable condition.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident to make themselves known at this time.
Sergeant Christopher Hoggans said: “This is a busy area and I am urging any witnesses to the crash who have not yet spoken to police to contact us as soon as possible.
“I would also ask any drivers with dash-cam to check their footage and get in touch if it contains anything that may be relevant to our investigation.
“Anyone with information should contact 101 quoting reference number 1386 of April 25.”
