A woman has been left with “life-threatening” injuries after a serious collision on Saturday.

Emergency services were called to Cumberland Street, near the junction with the A730 Caledonia Road,  in Glasgow following a crash between a blue mobility scooter and a white Renault Trafic van at around 2.30pm on November 9.

The rider of the mobility scooter, a 65-year-old woman, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with life-threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported.

The road was closed until 6.30pm following the incident.

Sergeant Adnan Alam said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and we are appealing with anyone who saw what happened to come forward.

“In addition, if anyone who was in the area at the time and has dash-cam footage that could assist with our investigation then please get in touch.”

Those with information regarding the collision are urged to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 1903 of Saturday, November 9, 2024.
