Body of woman, 53, discovered in loch at beauty spot

The body of a woman has been recovered from a loch in Glasgow.

Emergency services were called to Hogganfield Loch around 3.45pm on Monday following reports of a body in the water.

The body of a 53-year-old woman was recovered from the water by emergency services.

Investigators are not treating the death as suspicious and a report is due to be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 3.45pm on Monday, February 3, 2025, the body of a 53-year-old woman was discovered at Hogganfield Loch, Glasgow.

“There do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
