A young woman is in hospital following a crash on the M74.
Police were called to a report of a collision at the junction 3a involving a grey Ford Kuga around 3.05pm on Saturday.
A 22-year-old woman was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment. Her condition is currently unknown.
The road was fully closed for around 20 minutes following the crash.
Police are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash to get in touch.
Police Sergeant Stewart Taylor, of the Road Policing Unit, said: “I would ask anyone who may have witnessed what happened, or who may have dashcam footage, to contact us as soon as possible. You may have captured something that can assist our enquiries.
“The road was fully closed for around twenty minutes. I want to thank members of the public for their patience while we investigated this serious crash.”
