A man has been taken to hospital and a road has been sealed off by officers following a serious assault in Glasgow.
Emergency services were called to Westmuir Street in the east end of the city around 12.30pm on Thursday after receiving reports of an assault.
A man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment, where his current condition is unknown.
The road remains closed while enquiries are being carried out.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 12.30pm on Thursday, December 21, 2023, we received a report that a man had been seriously assaulted in Westmuir Street, Glasgow.
“He was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment.
“The road is closed and enquiries are ongoing.”
