A driver avoided a near miss as a huge tree fell onto a major road in Renfrewshire.
A tree, being battered by hurricane force winds of up to 100mph from Storm Eowyn, fell on to Magnus Road near the junction with Crawford Road in Houston on Friday.
A video from the scene shows cars turning the corner as the tree begins to fall with one car covered by the branches on the road.
An eyewitness has told STV News that the driver hopped out to check the car then backed up and turned around.
No one is believed to have been injured.
It comes amid a warning to stay indoors and avoid travel as a rare red Met Office weather alert has been extended to cover large parts of Scotland.
One person was also taken to hospital following a one-car crash on the A81 in Glasgow.
A lorry overturned on the Kingston Bridge and the Erskine Bridge has been closed to all traffic.
The storm is expected to bring the most intense weather in recent history, with wind speeds of 100mph.
