A walker has been rescued from a popular beauty spot in Stirlingshire after suffering a “significant” leg injury.

Lomond Mountain Rescue Team were called to a walker with a lower leg injury at the Zaines Ladder area of the Devil’s Pulpit on Tuesday morning.

The casualty was assessed and treated at the scene before being transferred by stretcher to a waiting ambulance.

Emergency services including Police Scotland and the Scottish Ambulance Service also attended the scene.

Lomond MRT posted on Tuesday: “At 11.47am this morning, Lomond MRT were called to a casualty who had sustained a significant lower leg injury at the ‘Zaines Ladder’ area of the Devils Pulpit.

“The casualty was assessed and treated at the scene before being transferred by stretcher to the waiting ambulance.

“Many thanks to colleagues from Police Scotland Forth Valley and the Scottish Ambulance Service for assistance.”
